MHDHF 50/50 Raffle RULES OF PLAY
1) Entry is open to all Alberta Health Services staff, volunteers and general public.
2) Must over 18 years of age to play, tickets must be purchased in Alberta.
3) This is a 50/50 lottery – 50% of ticket sales goes to the winner, 50% is collected by the Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation (MHDHF).
4) Purchase price of entry is $5. No refunds will be given.
5) Total of 36,000 tickets available over the licence period.
6) Tickets for AHS employees may be purchased through the AHS payroll deduction program or online and via the MHDHF website – ourhealthfoundation.ca.
a. Payroll deduction forms are due 13 days before the draw date by 2:00 pm.
b. To opt out of the payroll deduction program, complete the enrollment form (terminate participation) by 2:00 pm at least 2 weeks prior to the draw date.
7) All winners are notified by email or telephone and their name will be posted by the MHDHF, and by email to AHS employees.
8) Prizes are paid by electronic funds transfer (EFT) or cheque.
9) By playing, you consent to have your name and/or photograph used in social media, marketing materials and publications to advertise the raffle and other charitable works of the MHDHF.
10) All prize winners have 3 months from the date of the draw to claim their prize. If a prize has not be claimed within 3 months from the date of the draw, the MHDHF will write the AGLC asking permission to revert the prize back to the MHDHF with the proceeds to be spent on currently approved Use of Proceeds.
11) In the event a winning ticket has more than one name on it, the MHDHF shall award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. The foundation and AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.
12) A minimum of ten tickets need to be sold before requesting a draw date extension or canceling the raffle through AGLC.
13) The following are prohibited from purchasing a ticket: Rafflebox employees & immediate family members, ERS administrators, Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation staff.
14) The draw will take place at 11:00 am bi-weekly starting March 25, 2024. Draw will be determined by Random Number Generator (RNG). Draw takes place at the Health Foundation office (666 5 St. SW, Medicine Hat) and is open to the public. If the draw falls on a statutory holiday, the draw will be made on the business day immediately following. In the event of a power failure, the draw will be conducted once the power is restored.
